| Around 1990 Mike ran into Joe one day at a park. Mike asked Joe if he was still playing guitar. Joe said, "not as often as I'd like to." Mike said, "bring your guitar over and lets put a band together" That began CRY WOLF and since then we have grown into a rock and roll band with a strong southern rock flair. We started looking for another guitar player and found Eric. Then we added a bass player. Joe knew no one could fill the slot better then Ed. Cry Wolf had several female vocalist over the years. Now as five musicians we love playing rock clubs though out South Jersey and the Philly area. We enjoy playing private parties outdoor concerts, events for some of the local Harley Davidson dealerships, and biker rallies. Cry Wolf has also played many benefits for local charities over the years. Now we are known as CRY WOLF LIVE. |

Joe/Lead Guitar and Vocals |

From the first time Joe played guitar
in public, he knew he was hooked. From that point on, performing musically
and vocally has become an important part of his life. Joe's singing
and playing styles are heavily influenced by early rock and roll from the
70's as well as modern rock from the 90's and into the new millennium. He
considers Brian May, Jimmy Page, Robbin Trower and Joe Perry as his
biggest instrumental influences, with Elvis Presley and Rod Stewart as
vocal influences. Joe also draws on inspirations by bands such as Lynyrd
Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith. |

Erik/Lead Guitar |
||
| Erik began his musical career at the age of twelve, having been inspired to pick up the guitar by bands such as AC/DC and Van Halen. Erik's influences grew to include guitarists Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmore, Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Playing in a wide variety of bands as a teenager, Erik has developed a strong working background of studio and stage experience. He was also the guitarist in the original band "Headsoup," who played at Woodstock. Erik has worked on several original projects as a session guitar player, arranger and co-writer as well as a producer in his own studio. Erik's guitar style is a hybrid of blues and hard rock influences. He prefers a "loose feel approach" to playing as opposed to technical perfection. His distinctive guitar playing and natural feel adds an important element to the "Cry Wolf" sound. Erik's electrifying guitar sparks and ignites the already cooking sound of "Cry Wolf." | |||

Ed/Bass Guitar |
||
|
Ed began cutting his musical teeth at the age of thirteen at which time he began building his musical foundation in the "rough and tumble" bars in the Tri-State area. Ed got his start playing R&B in a soul band that later opened shows for reknown bands such as "The Intrigues" and the "Duke Ellington Orchestra." As a member of a traveling "Soul Review" he began honing his skills by paying his dues and working hard to become the consummate bassist he is today. Ed is the ultimate rhythm section member and has fused himself into the band. He has drawn on influences such as Jimmy Johnson, Dee Murry, Paul McCartney and famed Motown bassist James Jamerson. Ed has built a solid rhythm foundation of sound by providing the raw energy that fuels the "Cry Wolf" rhythm section. |

Mike/Drums and Vocals | ||
|
Mike's musical influences go way back into the 50's. Growing up in a musical family, Mike was inspired by several of his uncles, who at the time played for recording stars such as Frankie Avalon, Fabion, Dion and the Belmonts and Al Martino. Playing and singing professionally since the age of twelve (with musicians who were two to three times his age) Mike has played a variety of Oldies, Funk, Jazz, Country and Rock. His biggest change in vocal style however, came from singing Soul music with the Acappella group "The Street Corner Band." Mike's playing is a cross between John Bonham, Keith Moon and Phil Collins. Although his heavy handed style has earned him trade names such as "Sledge," "Bam-Bam," and "Thunder Hands," he has the elusive ability to take a song and make it his own by incorporating the many different playing styles that he has mastered. It is this talent that gives "Cry Wolf" it's authentic Rock feel. With over 30 years of road and recording experience, Mike is among one of the best drummers and vocalists around. |

Power House Sean Cry Wolf's Lead Singer Sean started his passion for music at an early age. He grew up listening to his mother's Motown and 60's pop that she used to blast on the car radio and in the house while she was cleaning. At the age of eight, while listening to Kiss with his brother Gene, his cousin Dusty heard Sean singing along. She told him he had a good voice. This comment started Sean on a musical path that eventually would lead him to Cry Wolf. At the age of 10 Sean began singing in the school choir. At that time, his school's music teacher was starting a rock band with the students, and himself on guitar. Sean joined the band and sang Journey and Foreigner for a Gloucester County talent contest. The school rock band took first place at the contest which further motivated Sean to continue singing. At the age of fifteen, Sean joined a cover band with some local talent. They called themselves The Righteous. The Righteous played many shows in the Pennsville area and eventually began writing and recording original material. Eventually, that band morphed into an all original band called Mystical Force. They played frequently at a teen rock club in Delaware called the Metal Shop, mostly opening up for other heavy metal hair bands of the time. After this band broke up, Sean lost alot of his passion for singing and performing. Later, while in college, Sean met a guitar player whose band needed a singer. Sean tried out and then joined the band. After learning numerous top 40 and alternative hit cover songs, Sean's new band, Dutch Oven And The Cliff Hangers, hit the club circuit. This band became very popular at clubs like Planet Cherry Hill and The Pennant. After a few years, with work and the birth of Sean's first child, Samantha, he decided he needed a break. He left the band to spend more time with his job and young family. Seven years later, Sean ran into and old friend who was married to a song writer/guitar player. After they met, Sean began feeling the itch to perform and to write songs again. The pair spent three years writing and recording original music and they are still a creative outlet for Sean. One night in the fall of 2003, Sean went out for the night to see what was described to him as a great band. This band was Cry Wolf. A friend told the band about Sean's singing talents and they asked him to come up and perform a couple of songs. After that first night, Sean knew they would make a good fit. Soon thereafter, Sean joined the band. Today, Sean enjoys singing with Cry Wolf and spending time with his wife, Lisa, and his two children, Samantha and Nicholas. |
